Pizza and Gelato will be good anywhere you go in Venice. If you want the best deal however, Algiubagiò is the place to go. Algiubagiò is right next to the Fondamente Nuove boat stop. Algiubagiò is also about a 5min walk from the Ca' Corte apartments. Algiubagiò has a big plastic cone of gelato in front of it.
Gelato is a great treat, and Algiubagiò does not disappoint. They can sell from one to about 30 scoops depending on how much you want. For one scoop of gelato, the price is 1.00 euro cup or cone, and the price for each additional scoop drops the more there are. For example, 5 scoops of gelato cup or cone costs 3.30 euro. Comparatively, 5 scoops can be sold for as much as 5 euro in the more expensive parts of Venice. They have a great selection of around ten different flavors. Some places that sell gelato taste more like American ice cream than the creamy Italian treat. Algiubagiò sells the real stuff, and it taste great.
The people that work at Algiubagiò make this place great. The people are very friendly and on occasion gave us special deals because we were regulars. Algiubagiò also sells drinks, alcohol, chips, cookies, and even pasta. I feel that Algiubagiò is a great place that all WPI students should know about and enjoy.
