How to get to the VPC (the most common way)

Take Boat Line 1 down the Grand Canal to the Ca' d'Oro boat stop. Disembark and head away from the Grand Canal, taking a right at the end of the street and walking along the Strada Nova (a very wide street). Take the last narrow street on the left before the square (Campo Ss. Apostoli). The street is called Calle Dragan, but you will probably miss the sign. The street you want is between a restaurant (Trattoria da Gianni) and a sporting goods store (Andreatta). If you reach the square (Campo Ss. Apostoli), you have gone too far; turn around. Follow the path on the map (Figure 3). The office is half-way down Calle Dragan, on the right-hand side if coming from the Strada Nova. Look for number 4400 and the WPI label. Knock on the door.

How to get to the VPC from the Fondamente Nuove boat stop

The view from the Fondamente Nuove once you disembark from your boat.
Take boat lines 41, 42, 51, 52 or Alilaguna BLUE to the Fondamente Nuove boat stop. Follow the path on the map below (Figure 4). The route shown is the one with the fewest bridges, in case you have heavy luggage. There are faster paths with more bridges, as you will eventually discover. From Fondamente Nuove, the office will be on the left, if you follow the arrows below. Look for number 4400 on top of the door, and knock.
